Anis Bakri

Anis BakriAnis Sazira BAKRI is currently undertaking her PhD in Construction Management at the School of the Built Environment, University of Salford, Manchester, UK. Her PhD topic is primarily about the critical success factors for knowledge sharing within construction joint ventures. The research is to study the knowledge sharing practices between the local/Malaysian contractors and their foreign partners in a joint venture project settings. The aim of the research is to proposed a set of list of critical success factors of effective knowledge sharing practices for joint ventures in the construction industry. Her PhD research is currently being part of a research collaboration between the UiTM, University of Salford and the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) which have undertaken a joint research with five other academics from UiTM to transform the Malaysian construction industry. This project is part of the key initiative of the Malaysian Construction Industry Master Plan (CIMP) managed by CIDB to improve the industry’s performance and productivity.

Anis is a senior lecturer at the Centre of Studies of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Surveying, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia teaching the undergraduate programmes in the faculty in project management, measurement of construction works, construction technology, construction economics and building services subjects. She obtained both her first degree in Quantity Surveying (1998) and MSc. In Integrated Construction Project Management (2002) from the UiTM. She is a Graduate Member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) since 2007 and Graduate Member of the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) since 2003. She is also a Student Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 2008.
